Hi everyone! I decided to start this blog for a number of reasons. I began medical school right after I got engaged and kept on searching the internet for subjects about "advice from married medical students", "being married while in medical school", and "planning a wedding while in med school" just to see how I would manage being ridiculously busy with school while still maintaining a healthy (and happy!) relationship with my fiance. Needless to say, I didn't find too much information (at least not about the woman being the medical student) so I am hoping this blog will lend advice to others who are starting the same journey. I still don't have that much experience but I have learned a few things during the past two years.
Anyway, a little about myself--- I am a 23-year-old, second year medical student and I am always very busy; however, I think I have done a good job with learning how to balance school and enjoyment. I married my sweet husband in June of this year---my wonderful mom (and dad!) planned the vast majority of our wedding and they did such a fantastic job. We have really been enjoying married life---although I think a lot of things are different than most first years of marriages between non-medical students.
I will try to keep updating my blog every week. If you have any questions please feel free to comment on this post or e-mail me! I would love to hear from you---it would be a nice distraction from studying! Back to the books.....
